Pharmacological properties

Vitarich is a combined preparation containing vitamins and microelements, the pharmacological action of which is determined by the properties of the vitamins and microelements included in its composition.

Retinol palmitate (vitamin A) stimulates redox processes, the synthesis of purine and pyrimidine bases, promotes the synthesis of ATP, ensures the normal function of the skin, mucous membranes, and the organ of vision.

Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) stimulates the synthesis of protein (calcium binding), improves the transport of calcium through the intestinal wall into the blood and tissues; in areas of bone growth normalizes the development of cartilage tissue; activates the synthesis of protein stroma, the capture of calcium from the blood plasma and its fixation in the bones in the form of phosphates; in the proximal tubules of the kidneys facilitates the reabsorption of calcium, sodium and phosphates.

Tocopherol acetate (vitamin E) is a natural antioxidant and inhibits free radical processes, prevents the formation of peroxides that damage cellular and subcellular membranes. Tocopherol acetate stimulates the synthesis of heme and heme-containing enzymes, improves tissue respiration, inhibits cholesterol synthesis; prevents increased permeability and fragility of capillaries, dysfunction of the seminiferous tubules, testicles and placenta; normalizes reproductive function.

Thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) as a result of phosphorylation in the liver is converted into carboxylase, which is a coenzyme of many enzymatic reactions. Vitamin B1 plays an important role in the regulation of the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, as well as in the processes of transmission of excitation in nerve synapses; in anemic myocardial dystrophy, it helps improve the metabolism of cardiomyocytes and their contractile function.

Riboflavin (vitamin B2) is an important catalyst for cellular respiration and visual perception. Interacting with ATP, it forms flavoprotein coenzymes. Regulates redox processes, participates in tissue respiration, metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and fats, in maintaining normal visual function of the eye, synthesis of hemoglobin and erythropoietin.

Pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitamin B6) improves the body’s use of unsaturated fatty acids and has a positive effect on the nervous system, liver function, and hematopoiesis. Pyridoxine promotes the synthesis of the sulfur-containing amino acid – taurine (from metheonine and cysteine), which normalizes neuromuscular conduction, muscle contractility, and prevents the development of seizures.

Cyanocobolamin (vitamin B12) in the body (mainly in the liver) is converted into a coenzyme form – adenosylcobalamin, or cobamamide, which is the active form of vitamin B12. Has high biological activity. Cobamamide is necessary for the formation of deoxyribose and DNA, creatine and methionine, as well as for normal hematopoiesis – it promotes the maturation of red blood cells. Promotes the accumulation of compounds containing sulfhydryl groups in erythrocytes, which increases their tolerance to hemolysis. Activates the blood coagulation system, causes an increase in thromboplastic activity and prothrombin activity. Has a positive effect on the function of the liver and nervous system. Increases the ability of tissues to regenerate.

Dexpanthenol, as a component of coenzyme A, plays an important role in the processes of acetylation and oxidation of carbohydrates and fats, in the synthesis of fatty acids and hormones.

L-lysine (aminoacetic acid) is the most important essential amino acid and is necessary for normal growth of the body, the formation of hormones, antibodies, enzymes, and tissue repair.

Potassium iodide, after absorption from the gastrointestinal tract in the thyroid gland, is oxidized to iodine, which ensures the inclusion of iodine in thyroxine and its conversion into di- and monoiodotyrosine, inhibits the synthesis and release of thyroid-stimulating hormone.

Copper plays an important role in metabolic processes and is necessary for the normal function of red blood cells and iron metabolism.

Zinc in the body plays an important role in physiological and pathological processes, has a positive effect on metabolic and immune processes, and is necessary for normal skeletal formation and tissue regeneration; is part of such vital hormones as insulin, corticotropin, somatotropin and gonadotropins.

Indications for use

The drug is used in children and adults who are pregnant as a prophylactic agent for conditions accompanied by an increased need for vitamins:  with malabsorption of vitamins and microelements and an increase in their excretion, an increase in the need for them; overwork in school-age children; increased physical and neuropsychic stress; in the absence of appetite and an irregular, inadequate or monotonous diet; during the recovery period after illnesses, in the postoperative period, to increase the body’s resistance to infectious and colds; and also as an adjuvant for hypertension, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, tuberculosis, and a stressful lifestyle; as part of complex therapy when using chemotherapeutic agents.

Method of administration and dosage

The drug is taken orally.

Children aged 1 to 3 yearsit is recommended to take 1 teaspoon syrup 1-2 times/day (10 ml of syrup per day, 5 ml single dose in a measuring cup).

Children aged 4 to 6 years – 1 teaspoon of syrup 2-3 times a day (10-15 ml of syrup per day according to 5 ml single dose in measuring cup).

Children aged 6 to 12 years – 1 tablespoon 1-2 times a day (10-20 ml of syrup per day, 10 ml single dose in a measuring cup).

The syrup can be given from a spoon or measuring cup and can be washed down with water.

In case of lack of appetite, the syrup should be used daily for 1 month. Repeated course of administration – after 1-3 months; the doctor decides on an individual basis whether to reduce or increase the interval between courses.

Adults, including pregnant women, 1-2 tablespoons or 10 ml in a measuring cup 3 times a day
